Your engineering experience and fluency with frontier AI technologies will drive continuous improvements in both the systems we build the way we build them. The sum total of this work will produce meaningful business impact on the way all of Amplitude’s critical business functions operate.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:Design and build full-stack apps and tools to solve high-leverage operational use cases across the businessBuild service connectors that enable AI and automation tools to work across business systemsEvolve our tools and processes to increase team velocity, simplify our technical stack and leverage new AI-native approachesDrive end-to-end reconciliation across financial systems from quote to revenue recognition, enabling cross-system reporting and end-to-end traceabilityOwn what you build across the full software development lifecycleWhat you’ll bring to the role:5+ years engineering experience shipping and running production servicesBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fieldFull-stack development experience spanning frontend, backend, tools and integrationsAn enthusiasm for understanding new business problems, learning unfamiliar systems, delivering improvements and evolving their design incrementallyExperience working with data warehouses and SQL-based systems Ability to translate business problems to technical solutions and software designsExperience with frontier AI tooling including harnesses, MCP servers, and agentsCurious and fast-learning across new domains as the work moves with the businessBias for action - comfortable rapidly iterating to turn business problems into prototypes and ultimately solutionsNice to HaveExperience evaluating LLM systems using eval harnesses, regression suites, and accuracy tracking over timeFamiliarity with dbt, Snowflake, or medallion-style warehouse architectureFamiliarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, Zip, Ramp, or StripePrior work as an internal-tools, solutions, or platform engineer — where your users were internal stakeholders, not just external customersThis role is eligible for equity, benefits and other forms of compensation.Based on Colorado law, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Colorado. Colorado range: $198,000 - $299,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in New York City, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in New York City. New York City salary range: $220,000 - $331,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $220,000 - $331,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $198,000 - $299,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $198,000 - $299,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans.
