Job Description
Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse

Schedule:
Days, 10 hours, 40 hours per week

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Requirements:
- Current nursing license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Implement the nursing process based on extensive knowledge and experience.
- Provide age-appropriate patient care addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and families.
- Deliver care in complex, urgent, emergent, and life-saving situations.
- Coordinate surgical suite activities and direct the surgical team during emergent situations.
- Participate in staff development and professional self-development initiatives.
- Function as a circulator or surgical tech during peak surgery hours.

Compliance / Notes:
- Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required.
- Some charge nurse responsibilities may be required.
