Sales Associate

Role Overview As a Sales Associate, you are the frontline of the Pet Care Center experience, helping customers find the right products and solutions for their pets while fostering a welcoming, safe and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities Pet First: Support animal health and safety, provide accurate product information, and maintain a clean, safe environment for pets, customers and staff. Foster the Fun: Greet and serve customers with friendly, solution-focused service, create positive shopping experiences, support teammates, and keep the sales floor organized and visually appealing. Let's Go!: Assist customers in selecting products and services, process sales, returns, and exchanges, replenish shelves, manage inventory, support merchandising and promotional set-ups, and follow company policies. Customer Experience & Sales Deliver consistent, courteous, and knowledgeable service. Educate customers on products, services and promotions. Support store sales and service goals. Operations & Merchandising Maintain store cleanliness, organization and presentation standards. Assist with inventory replenishment and stock accuracy. Support daily operational routines and tasks. Success Measures Customers feel welcomed and supported during every visit. Sales floor is clean, stocked and easy to shop. Team members collaborate to meet store goals. Pets are cared for safely and responsibly. Qualifications & Experience Previous retail or customer service experience preferred (not required). Passion for animals and interest in pet care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and transactions. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Essential Functions & Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. In-person customer interactions and cashiering. Exposure to animal dander, odors, noise and cleaning chemicals. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $12.00 – $19.50 per hour, starting rate $16.00. Actual pay may vary by location and experience.
