The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a key role in supporting patients' safety, well-being, and progress within the behavioral health setting. Working under the supervision of a clinician and in alignment with each patient's treatment plan, the RBT provides individualized behavioral interventions, supports skill development and positive replacement behaviors, and collects accurate behavioral data. The RBT also monitors patient responses, identifies barriers to treatment, and communicates important clinical or safety concerns to the supervising clinician and Treatment Team. Minimum Requirements: Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of these related fields: Social Work, Social Services, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice/Criminology preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Certification as Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT). Valid drivers license and auto insurance. At least 21 years of age.
Experience: One to three years of related experience and/or training.
Preferred Experience/Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. Key Responsibilities
Additional duties may be assigned based on organizational needs and staff qualifications. Physical & Work Environment This role requires frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility, along with the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and occasionally sit. Employees may need to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds. The position also requires strong attention to safety, effective communication, and the ability to remain alert and respond appropriately to changing or potentially unsafe situations. Employees must demonstrate sound judgment, maintain professional boundaries, and effectively support patients during behavioral or crisis situations. Required safety and crisis-intervention training must be completed, and reasonable accommodation may be available for qualified individuals with disabilities. Benefits & More Employee benefits and culture fall under the KVC Health Systems umbrella.
