Expenses: with prior Manager approval, may expense for travel reimbursments for business related travels neededTOP THINGS:Strong advocate for user-centered designSystems thinker for end-to-end experiencesClear communicator of design rationaleRole Overview: Project Charlie is seeking a Lead User Experience (UX) Designer – Mobile & Platforms to provide leadership in understanding customer needs, defining product experiences, and shaping the overall design vision for a new customer-facing mobile platform. This role begins as a hands-on design leader and evolves into leading a small UX function. The Lead UX Designer owns end-to-end experience design—researching user behaviors, identifying unmet needs, documenting current-state journeys, and driving future-state improvements while partnering closely with Product and Engineering.Key Responsibilities:Lead user research and discovery to understand customer behaviors and pain pointsConduct interviews, usability testing, surveys, and behavioral analysisCapture and document current-state journeys and experiencesTranslate insights into design strategies and requirementsDesign user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UIOwn and drive overall look and feel of the platformDefine and evolve design systems and guidelinesPartner with Product and Engineering to ensure feasibilityFacilitate workshops and stakeholder alignmentLead usability testing and iterative improvementsMentor designers and oversee external partnersEnsure accessibility, privacy, and compliance standardsMinimum Experience:8–10+ years of UX/UI or product design experienceStrong background in user research, interaction design, and mobile designExperience across end-to-end product design lifecycleAbility to simplify complex systems into intuitive experiencesExperience with journey maps and design systemsProficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XDCross-functional collaboration with Product and EngineeringAbility to lead and influence without authorityDesired Experience:Experience designing customer-facing products at scaleExperience in regulated industriesFamiliarity with data-rich or IoT ecosystemsExperience supporting launch and iterationExperience working with external agenciesDesired Characteristics:Strong advocate for user-centered designSystems thinker for end-to-end experiencesClear communicator of design rationaleCollaborative and cross-functional leaderBalances user, technical, and business needsComfortable with ambiguityWhat Success Looks Like:Customer insights drive product decisionsPlatform delivers intuitive and cohesive experiencesDesign influences product strategyTeams align around a clear experience visionContinuous improvements based on user feedbackApplicant Notices & DisclaimersFor information on benefits, equal opportunity employment, and location-specific applicant notices, click here
