Maintenance Assistant

Brookside Rehab & Nursing Center Now Hiring: Full-Time Maintenance Assistant/Apprentice Brookside Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position focuses primarily on floor care and painting to help maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities: Perform floor care duties including stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing floors Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively Paint resident rooms, hallways, common areas, and other facility spaces Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, sanding, and cleaning Complete touch-up painting and cosmetic repairs as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Assist with general facility maintenance projects as assigned Follow all safety, infection control, and facility policies Help ensure the facility maintains a welcoming appearance for residents and visitors Qualifications: Previous floor care and/or painting experience preferred Experience operating floor machines is a plus Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is helpful but not required Benefits: Competitive pay Daily Pay available Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and advancement Why Join Brookside Rehab & Nursing Center?
