About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Cardiac-trained RNs with high engagement and willingness to train others Description: The position involves taking care of patients with significant history of cardiac disease or related processes. The role is essential in stabilizing staffing for a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit. These travelers will assist in staffing and may be needed to precept new hires. New hires will primarily consist of RN Residents. Candidates should have experience with typical disease processes such as chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, syncope, and management of patients requiring echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. Additionally, the unit handles patients undergoing procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. Flexibility is required, as staff may overflow into general medical/surgical patients as needed. This position requires an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to patient care and quality improvement is essential.
