Restaurant Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven restaurant management experience in an upscale, high-volume, full-service setting
- Demonstrated success overseeing both à la carte and event/banquet service
- Strong understanding of FOH operations, service standards, and guest relations
- Track record of controlling P&L, labor cost, food cost, and vendor management
- Experience managing bar and beverage operations (including wine, spirits, and cocktails)
- Skilled in scheduling, hiring, training, and developing FOH teams
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred
- Proficient with POS systems, scheduling, and basic reports
- Local candidates only; must be able to work nights and weekends
Restaurant Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience balancing independent and corporate restaurant operations
- Expertise in private events, banquets, and catering management
- Strong organizational and cost control (COGS, waste, inventory) skills
- Comfort jumping in behind the bar or in any FOH role as needed
- Commitment to guest engagement and delivering memorable experiences
Restaurant Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor, overseeing service execution and pacing
- Lead, coach, and motivate the FOH and bar teams to deliver the highest hospitality standards
- Oversee bar operations, beverage quality, and team education
- Engage with guests throughout their dining experience, ensuring satisfaction
- Uphold SOPs, service standards, and effective FOH communication with the kitchen and bar
- Address guest concerns promptly and empower the team to resolve service issues
- Coordinate seamless execution of high-volume dining and special events
