F&B Support StaffThe F&B Support Staff role is a dynamic, cross-functional position designed to elevate service standards across all Food & Beverage outlets, including dining rooms, poolside service, bars, and event spaces. This position ensures all support functions—hosting, bussing, food running, and bar backing—are executed at a high standard, allowing service teams to operate efficiently and consistently.F&B Support team members act as utility players, stepping into any support role as needed while ensuring staff receive proper coverage for mandated rest and meal breaks. We ask questions to truly understand the core of a matter.Pete's Promise:Service ForwardRuthlessly ConsistentDo the Right ThingNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Essential Job FunctionsMaintain a proactive, team-first mindset: "How can I help?"Provide coverage for 10-minute breaks and 30-minute meal periodsEnsure all service areas meet cleanliness and presentation standardsAnticipate operational needs and respond quickly to service demandsSupport both à la carte dining and private events as neededCommunicate effectively with FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth service flowActive participation in events, programs, meetings, and trainingRepresent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow-through and response.Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days, and evenings.Pre- and Post-ShiftSet up host stands, expo areas, service stations and event setupStock condiments, napkins, utensils, and service suppliesEnsure dining areas, bars, and service stations meet outlet standardsAssist with buffet maintenanceParticipate in pre-service meetingsReview menu updates, service notes, and event detailsAlign with team on staffing and operational prioritiesBreak down and cleaning of service stations, bars, dining and event stationsRestock and reset for the next service periodComplete polishing, stocking, and sanitation dutiesEnsure all areas are left in clean, organized, and operational conditionHost SupportGreet members and guests with professionalism and warmthManage reservations, waitlists, and table assignmentsCommunicate accurate wait times and table readinessCoordinate seating flow based on service capacitySupport guest inquiries and ensure smooth transitions to service staffFood Runner / Expo SupportDeliver food promptly and accurately from kitchen/expo to guestsEnsure proper presentation and correct table placementCommunicate with kitchen and service staff regarding timing and special requestsRestock expo lines and maintain cleanliness of the passAssist with light polishing, roll-ups, and station readiness during slower periodsBusser SupportClear and reset tables efficiently to maintain table turn timesTransport dishes, glassware, and linens to appropriate areasMaintain cleanliness of dining areas, including floors, chairs, and surrounding spacesReset tables to outlet-specific standardsSupport servers with guest needs (water refills, extra settings, etc.)Bar Back SupportMaintain bar cleanliness and organization throughout serviceRestock glassware, ice, garnishes, and bar productsAssist bartenders with replenishment of spirits, beer, and wineEnsure bar stations remain fully stocked and service-readySupport glass polishing and bar breakdown at end of shiftBreak CoverageRotate into roles to ensure all staff receive compliant meal and rest breaksMaintain seamless service levels during team member absencesMinimum QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary job function satisfactorily.
