Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Nashville, TN, requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent PCU experience. Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for PCU/telemetry RNs Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Med/Surg experience required Experience with telemetry monitoring required Meditech EMR experience preferred Skills required include IV insertion, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two references) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months Responsibilities Position is located in a PCU on a Neuro Med/Surg unit (3rd floor) within a hospital setting in Nashville, TN 20-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio Tech support available on both day and night shifts; unit secretary available 7a–7p Equipment used includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology Documentation system: Meditech Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week Two weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule Travelers are first to float; rotation applies when multiple contract staff are scheduled 13-week contract The facility is an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center Nurses are expected to provide attentive, compassionate care and conduct bedside shift report, engaging patients and family members in the plan of care Navy scrub tops and bottoms are required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-710650 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
