Lead Clinic Nurse

Jamestown Healing Clinic is seeking a compassionate and experienced Lead Clinic Nurse to join our team and play a vital role in providing quality healthcare services to our patients. Expected schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 40 hours per week.

The Lead Clinic Nurse at the Jamestown Healing Clinic (JHC), will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care within our integrated healthcare setting, encompassing primary care, dental, behavioral health, and opiate use disorder treatment. This position will oversee nursing and medical support staff while maintaining strict compliance with state and federal opiate treatment program guidelines.

Essential Functions

• Supervise nursing and medical support staff in the JHC, effectively coordinating, assigning, and guiding tasks to ensure the efficient delivery of patient care.
• Guarantee that all patients receive prompt and appropriate medical and behavioral health care, while acting as a liaison between the medical department and other clinic departments including the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU).
• Collaborate closely with medical providers, support staff, and counselors to ensure patient compliance with treatment plans. Provide expertise and ongoing training to the medical department staff.
• Serve as an expert resource on all state and federal opiate treatment program guidelines, including the scheduling and coordination of medical staff.
• Assume responsibility for effectively managing individual patient nursing care, conduct chart reviews to ensure adherence to standard protocols, and develop action plans in coordination with the Executive Director when discrepancies arise.
• Assess and gather relevant patient health data, working closely with the care team to adjust care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with the Lead Dispensing Nurse to ensure a seamless flow between departments and develop quality improvement measures.
• Assist in managing patients with multiple chronic health conditions, acute care episodes, and behavioral health challenges, while promoting preventive care and wellness.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Case Manager to identify patients with high healthcare service utilization, recommending further assessments and modifications to treatment plans.
• Assist with nursing recruitment and onboarding.
• Maintain and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Adhere and work within the scope of licensure, standards of care and clinic protocols.
• Adhere to and enforce all JHC policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, and work practices as described in the Occupational Exposure Control Plan and HIPAA.
• Other additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and Registered Nurse licensure
• Five (5) years clinical care experience
• Prior experience in a substance abuse treatment facility or a related background in primary care
• Two (2) years of relevant supervisory experience
• Experience and knowledge using EPIC
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong leadership skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication skills
• Skilled in problem solving in a clinical setting
• Ability to appropriately interact with patients and their families
• Ability to be flexible to changing demands, and to prioritize essential duties
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Ability to travel locally and regionally as assigned
• Uphold all current vaccine requirements for employment
• Valid Washington State Driver's License
• Must be able to successfully pass criminal background check investigation

• Knowledge of office administrative operations, including personnel management, and compliance
• American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.81 - $49.16 per hour
