Senior FP&A Analyst

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior FP&A Analyst for a growing industrial manufacturing and distribution organization . This is a hybrid opportunity based in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois , with three days onsite and two remote days each week. POSITION OVERVIEW Our client is seeking a collaborative and business-minded Senior FP&A Analyst to join its Finance team and play a key role in driving strategic financial planning and decision-making. This position partners closely with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, executive reporting, and long-range planning while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting. RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with business leaders to develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, long-range financial plans, and executive-level financial reporting. Build financial models and perform variance, profitability, and scenario analyses to support strategic business initiatives and investment decisions. Collaborate with Accounting and cross-functional stakeholders to support month-end reporting, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain data integrity. Identify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting, controls, and financial standardization across the organization. Support the ongoing use and optimization of the organization's FP&A platform by assisting with reporting, budgeting workflows, dashboards, and financial data management. Translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights and recommendations for leadership. QUALIFICATIONS Experience supporting financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance analysis within manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with expertise in financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas, and scenario analysis. Experience using enterprise reporting or FP&A systems; familiarity with Planful is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary up to $125,000 , depending on experience. Annual bonus opportunity.
