Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Cardiac Medicine)

Location

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Medicine ICU setting during night shift hours
• Manage and monitor vasoactive drips, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Care for patients with advanced heart failure and complex cardiac conditions
• Deliver post-procedure care for patients following STEMIs, TAVRs, and similar interventions
• Float within scope of practice to other units within the facility as needed per facility policy
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Virginia license pending (license must be in-hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Strong familiarity with Swan-Ganz catheters, vasoactive drips, and arterial lines
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Experience with advanced heart failure management and post-procedure cardiac care (STEMI, TAVR)
• Previous travel nursing experience in an ICU or critical care environment
