Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Clearwater, Florida.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/19/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 19, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience for a teaching hospital setting requiring RCIS and ARRT certification.Details\n \n Cardiac Cath Lab unit in a short-term acute care teaching hospital with 599 staffed beds\n Patient diagnoses include chest pain, NSTEMI, STEMI, valve disease, and pulmonary hypertension\n Procedures include left/right heart catheterization, CTO, complex PCI, peripheral and complex peripheral interventions, and carotid stenting\n 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM\n Weekend shifts required, typically 1 weekend shift in a 4-week schedule\n On-call requirement of 7-9 call shifts per month, including weekend call\n No floating within scope required to meet facility needs\n Cerner EMR used for charting, experience preferred\n Requirements\n \n Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required\n BLS and ACLS certifications required\n ARRT (R) certification required\n RCIS certification required (CCI or ARRT-R combination accepted)\n Active Florida or Compact RT license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable\n Scrub and EKG skills required\n Experience with balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left/right heart catheterization, and Rotablator required\n Prior travel healthcare experience required\n Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred\n Must be able to work in fast-paced cath lab environment performing procedural and monitoring duties\n Additional Information\n \n Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field as scrub\n Performs cardiac procedures including ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, PCI, PTCA, temporary pacemaker insertion, and rotablator atherectomy\n Performs vascular studies including carotid stenting, IVC filter placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and coil embolization\n Red scrub color required\n COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted\n Must pass EKG exam prior to start (up to 3 attempts allowed)\n First-time travelers are not accepted for this position\n Local candidates are not accepted; must reside more than 100 miles from the facility\n No RTO permitted during contract; RTO requests may be discussed directly with hiring manager during interview\n Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-749105.
