Job Description
Join a Trauma/Neuro ICU team in Ventura, California, as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract. This day-shift assignment is designed for an experienced ICU nurse who has worked with trauma and neuro patients, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, acute stroke, post-neurosurgery care, external ventricular drains, intracranial pressure monitoring, ventilated patients, and cardiac or vasoactive drips. You will also manage complex critical-care needs such as CRRT, arterial lines, central lines, blood products, sedation, and multisystem organ failure.
Accurate charting and detailed assessments are essential, with close attention to documentation standards and chart audits. Cerner experience is required, and you must be prepared to float within the service line. Required credentials include ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and TNCC or TCAR, along with the required COVID vaccination. This is a high-acuity assignment where each shift brings meaningful critical-care challenges.
