Product Manager, Core Experience
Gleanwork
About the Role Glean is seeking a highly strategic and execution‑oriented Product Manager in the Core Experience product area – the full‑stack, high‑polish, consumer‑grade experiences that define how every user interacts with Glean. The role sits at the intersection of AI, consumer‑quality product craft, growth, and platform strategy, owning the surfaces where users start and do their work every day – Homepage, Mobile, Desktop, Browser Extension, SDK, app shell, navigation, notifications, and settings. Responsibilities Help define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Core Experience, translating company vision into specific product bets, experiences, and execution plans informed by customer needs, usage data, and market signals. Own the end‑to‑end quality of Glean’s core surfaces, driving a single, consistent, consumer‑grade product journey across every touchpoint. Partner exceptionally closely with the Search and Chat teams to influence their roadmaps and ensure seamless integration into a cohesive end‑to‑end user journey. Spend significant time with users, customers, and internal stakeholders to understand how people start and complete work in Glean, identifying friction, drop‑off, or fragmentation that hampers engagement and retention. Drive growth, engagement, virality, collaboration, and session depth as outcome drivers, partnering with growth and data teams on activation, onboarding, and retention across entry points. Champion rapid experimentation using A/B tests, instrumentation, and qualitative research to learn fast, raise core metrics, and make confident, data‑driven product decisions. Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to turn ambiguous concepts into well‑scoped products with clear user flows, interaction patterns, quality standards, and measurable outcomes. Drive customer‑focused prioritization and efficient execution, balancing long‑term platform opportunities with urgent user pain points, strategic customer asks, and company priorities. Collaborate with go‑to‑market, solutions, support, and forward‑deployed teams to translate real customer problems into product strategy, ensuring the strategy reflects enterprise realities. Specify how opportunities should work in practice, including concrete workflows, UI behavior, performance, and adoption paths. About You 8+ years of product management experience, owning and shipping meaningful product areas in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, AI products, consumer products, or high‑engagement workflow platforms. Strong product sense for translating complex, ambiguous problems into clear, polished product experiences, able to move between strategy and detailed execution. Deep interest in AI and software, excited to shape consumer‑grade experiences that combine search, chat, context, and proactive intelligence. Track record of driving growth, engagement, and retention through experimentation, instrumentation, and data‑driven iteration. Outstanding cross‑functional partner and influencer, capable of driving outcomes across surfaces you don’t own and aligning adjacent teams into a cohesive user experience. Strong technical fluency, comfortable partnering with engineering and data teams on systems involving retrieval, ranking, client infrastructure, and intelligence layers across web, desktop, mobile, and SDK surfaces. Demonstrated granular product thinking – how a user should experience a workflow, the right interaction model, and how to sequence capabilities into something customers will adopt. Comfortable operating in highly ambiguous spaces, creating clarity, momentum, and alignment when the product area is emerging. Excellent written and verbal communicator, with a learning and growth mindset. Proven track record of ownership, initiative, and delivering results, collaborating effectively with cross‑functional partners. Mission‑first attitude, measuring success by product and team outcomes. Early adopter of AI, building with or adopting AI for product craft, and excited to help customers accelerate their AI adoption journey. Location Hybrid – 4 days a week in our Mountain View office. Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $300,000 annually, adjusted for location, level, and experience. Variable compensation, equity, and benefits may also apply. Benefits include competitive compensation, medical, vision, dental coverage, generous time‑off policy, 401(k) plan, home office improvement stipend, annual education and wellness stipends, and daily healthy lunches.
