Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >80 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. - Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months before submission. - Permanent address must be more than 80 miles from the facility.

Unit Details: - Observation-focused unit with mostly chest pain, abdominal pain, hysterectomy, knee scope, adult tonsillectomy, appendectomy, hernia, and infusion patients needing blood or antibiotics twice a day. - Will receive inpatients expected to discharge in less than 48 hours. - High patient turnover with 12 admissions and 10 discharges in 12 hours. - Uses Acu-dose for narcotic dispensing and medication scanning.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend and holiday.

Floating Requirements: - May float to other Med-Surg areas but will go into the same rotation for floating as the permanent staff.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
