POSITION OVERVIEW The Bellperson ensures a memorable and positive arrival and departure experience for guests. This position is responsible for assisting with luggage handling, providing information, and delivering exceptional customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, offering assistance upon their arrival and ensuring a gracious farewell upon departure Assist guests with the handling of luggage, ensuring it is delivered safely to guest rooms or stored securely as per the hotel's procedures Help guests load and unload their belongings from vehicles, providing assistance as needed Collaborate with the Bell Services dispatch team to ensure efficient coordination and delivery of services to guests Provide accurate and helpful information about the property's amenities, facilities, local attractions, and dining options Accept and log incoming packages and mail for guests, notifying recipients promptly Foster positive guest relations by being approachable, courteous, and attentive to their needs Handle guest concerns or issues with empathy and efficiency, finding timely resolutions or escalating matters to the Front Services management team or relevant management Maintain an organized and aesthetically pleasing bell service area Present a professional appearance at all times, wearing a well-maintained uniform and name tag Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a Bellperson or in a similar guest service role within a luxury hotel, high-end resort, or exclusive private estate is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming and approachable demeanor Highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality Ability to maintain composure when working in busy and stressful situations Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive guest and company information Customer‑centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional and personalized guest experiences Knowledge of local attractions, events, and cultural offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry luggage and packages for guests Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends Work in a fast‑paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
