Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
The ICU/CCU RN is responsible for coordinating, providing, and ensuring the delivery of individualized, age-appropriate care to patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in a critical care setting. This role involves managing patients with serious respiratory or cardiac conditions requiring specialized ICU/CCU services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs upon admission and throughout the shift.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient vitals, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Float to various units including OB, MS, PACU, and ER to support staffing needs.
• Complete orientation, competency assessments, and maintain documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license from an accredited nursing program.
• ICU or ER experience preferred.
• Ability to work any shift, including nights and holidays.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work 80 hours every two weeks with flexible scheduling.
