Company/Client Overview:
Weâre currently seeking a Remote Tax Preparer to join our team and help us scale operations, with a strong preference for someone who is fluent in Chinese to better serve our expanding Chinese-speaking client base.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file personal and business tax returns
- Handle sales tax and payroll tax filings
- Review client-provided financial information and ensure accuracy
- Communicate with clients regarding tax-related documents and deadlines
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date client records and documentation
- Be available for extended hours during tax season
Minimum Requirements:
- Language requirement: Proficiency in both English and Mandarin/Chinese is required and non-negotiable
- Experience: 1â3+ years of experience in US tax preparation (U.S. personal and business taxes) is required
- Proficient in handling sales tax and payroll tax
- Fluent in Chinese-Mandarin â verbal and written.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Highly detail-oriented, trustworthy, and organized
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Willing and able to learn internal tools and adhere to our security protocols
