Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide compassionate, hands-on support in a skilled nursing facility serving older adults and seniors, including patients receiving short-term rehabilitation. The CMA will support high-volume rehabilitation workflows, provide routine bedside care and documentation, assist with medication room and clinical support, and deliver assigned-unit patient care while promoting safety, comfort, and effective communication. Flexible shifts are available; see below.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and support assigned-unit needs.
Measure and record vital signs.
Assist patients with mobility and safe patient handling.
Support activities of daily living, including hygiene, feeding, and toileting.
Monitor patients and communicate changes to the appropriate clinical team.
Document care accurately and promptly.
Prepare and maintain patient rooms.
Provide medication-room and clinical support as assigned.

Current Shifts

6:00 AM - 9:00 AM
4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
6:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Required Qualifications

At least six months of experience in certified medical assisting.

Iowa registry required
