About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of experience with Whipple, Intestinal, Kidney, Liver, Scrub Transplant Surgery, Hepatectomy. License: Must have a license in hand. Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Completion of at least 1 travel assignment. - Ability to circulate/scrub Hepatobiliary, Kidney and Liver Transplants. - Candidates are preferred to have both skillsets. Description: This position is for an Operating Room Nurse focused solely on Transplant cases. Shifts available include 4x10-hour shifts, 2x12-hour shifts, or a combination of 2x12 and 2x8 shifts. The facility does not require on-call during the first contract. If the contract is extended, the requirement is up to 8 calls per 8-week period with a 60-minute response time. There is no weekend requirement. Unit patient ratio is 1:1. The patient population includes those with liver and pancreatic cancer, congenital liver, and small bowel abnormalities. Special procedures performed in this unit include Whipple, Pancreatectomy, Hepatectomy, Small Bowel Transplant, and Liver Transplant for both pediatric and adult patients. All employees are required to have the flu vaccine with no exemptions. RTO rules apply with a maximum of 3 days per 13-week contract and 7 days of RTO between contracts if extending. No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment.
