The CommLaw Group, PLLC is seeking inquiries from experienced telecommunications attorneys interested in joining one of the country's most specialized communications law practices at the Senior Associate, Of Counsel, or Partner level.

This is not a conventional lateral hiring opportunity.

We are looking for experienced, deeply knowledgeable telecom lawyers who want the freedom to practice differently — to build a practice, develop a book of business, serve clients directly, collaborate with other highly experienced professionals, and participate in building something they can genuinely call their own.

There is a remarkable shortage of experienced telecommunications attorneys in private practice today, particularly lawyers with meaningful experience navigating both traditional telecommunications regulation and the rapidly evolving communications technology marketplace.

We are interested in hearing from senior attorneys with significant experience in one or more of the following areas:

• VoIP and interconnected communications services

• Wireless and mobile communications

• MVNOs and wireless resellers

• Cloud communications, UCaaS, CPaaS, and CCaaS

• SaaS platforms incorporating voice, messaging, or telecommunications functionality

• SMS, MMS, messaging, short codes, 10DLC, and related compliance

• Robocall mitigation, STIR/SHAKEN, numbering, and call authentication

• FCC and state public utility commission regulation

• Universal Service Fund and other federal regulatory contribution programs

• Communications taxes, fees, and regulatory surcharges

• Broadband and interconnected services

• Traditional wireline, CLEC, IXC, and carrier regulation

• Telecom licensing, market entry, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory approvals

• Enforcement, investigations, audits, and regulatory compliance

• Emerging hybrid communications and software business models

We are particularly interested in what might fairly be called hardcore telecom lawyers — attorneys who genuinely understand the industry, its regulatory architecture, and how communications businesses operate.

Depending upon experience, existing practice, business development interests, and professional objectives, opportunities may be structured at the Senior Associate, Of Counsel, or Partner level.

We are especially interested in attorneys who want to build or expand a book of business.
