This role requires safe and efficient operation of paving equipment such as asphalt pavers, rollers, skid steers, and compactors. The ideal candidate has experience in road construction, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities - Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including Mini excavators, Pavers, Skid steers and Forklifts depending on the project needs Perform daily equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and report issues promptly Load, unload, and position equipment safely on job sites Work with the paving crew to ensure even asphalt distribution, proper compaction, and smooth finish Follow grade markers and layout specifications to achieve desired slope and thickness Maintain control of speed, feed, and depth of material application Assist with handwork or labor duties when equipment is not in use Comply with all safety regulations, traffic control procedures, and company policies Communicate clearly with crew members and foreman during paving operations Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2+ years of experience operating paving or heavy equipment preferred Must be at least 18 years of age Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills Must be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic CDL license is a plus but not required Ability to pass a drug test and adhere to safety standards Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area Pave America and it's companies offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
