Job Title

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include processing assigned central intake referrals, procuring all incoming referrals, obtaining necessary documentation to support clean billing, demonstrating optimum customer service skills, performing authorization and verifications for identified product lines, and entering the required information into the appropriate system accurately to assure clean claims for timely reimbursement.

Additional responsibilities include answering incoming telephone calls, monitoring all referral management systems for new and referral updates, providing information to referral sources regarding programs and services available to meet customer needs, screening calls for appropriateness, demonstrating adherence to intake process for each referral, meeting productivity standards on a daily basis, maintaining an accurate account file following all intake processes, obtaining necessary documentation adhering to intake process, obtaining face-to-face information and handoff to F2F team with appropriate information, knowledgeable in current Medicare reimbursement criteria and insurance contracts for the organization product lines, verifying member eligibility and ensuring correct billing information, obtaining all necessary documents on a consistent basis, assuring insurance verification and authorization is appropriate to assure clean billing and prompt payment, obtaining and communicating all insurance needs assigned by supervisor to the appropriate operation, assuring communication is timely and appropriate with all organization operations, utilizing tracking system to follow up on pending cases, organizing information, services resources and contracts, problem solving with staff on any pertinent patient referral issues, taking ownership to assure that delivery of services meet customer and referral source expectations, and other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, knowledge, skills and abilities required include a high school diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs, associates degree preferred, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and strong customer service.

Skills education, knowledge, skills and abilities preferred include home care experience, one to two years healthcare experience, billing/insurance authorization experience.

Compensation minimum rate of $20.64 hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
