Locations Houston, TX; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Alpharetta, GA. Work location is flexible across Corporate Solutions offices. About the Team Support the North American Engineering & Construction team; experienced underwriters focused on profit-oriented underwriting of large and middle-market construction projects. About the Role Support profitability by developing the US E&C portfolio to meet financial goals, expanding Swiss Re Corporate Solutions footprint. Underwrite construction risks nationwide for large and midsize projects across sectors including power, renewable energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, building, and heavy civil works. Identify client needs and growth potential, develop tailor‑made solutions in partnership with clients/brokers. Participate in Swiss Re Global Engineering community for knowledge sharing, training, special projects, and research topics. Maintain underwriting documentation, ensure high data quality in system, and follow‑up on post‑bound activities such as endorsement, premium payment, claim data, and filing. Cross‑sell capabilities of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and collaborate with colleagues within Swiss Re where required. About You University degree in Science/Engineering. 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in Underwriting Engineering & Construction. Excellent understanding of the US insurance market and an established network of Engineering & Construction brokers. Flexible to work independently or in a collaborative team environment. Can‑do attitude, creative approach, comfortable in dynamic environment. Strong analytical skills. Availability for travel in USA. Fluency in English. Work Location Open to New York City, Chicago, Alpharetta, Houston. Hybrid work model: expected in office 3 days per week for Swiss Re offices.
