Payroll Clerk

Position: Payroll Clerk Fuse3 Solutions is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Clerk with 1–2 years of payroll or administrative experience to support daily payroll operations. This role involves heavy phone communication with employees and agencies, handling payroll disputes and garnishments, accurate data entry, and assistance with payroll processing activities. The ideal candidate is organized, customer‑service focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Process and maintain employee payroll records accurately and confidentially Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls regarding payroll questions, discrepancies, and employee concerns Research and resolve payroll disputes, missing hours, deductions, and payment issues Manage wage garnishments, child support orders, levies, and related documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Perform large‑volume data entry and verification for payroll changes, direct deposits, tax updates, and deductions Assist with timekeeping audits and review timesheets for accuracy Communicate with employees, managers, and external agencies regarding payroll matters Maintain organized payroll files and documentation Support payroll processing deadlines and ensure timely payroll submission Assist with reporting and other administrative payroll tasks as assigned Qualifications 1–2 years of payroll, administrative, customer service, or related experience Strong data entry and computer skills Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities Experience handling employee disputes or problem resolution preferred Familiarity with garnishments, payroll deductions, or HR/payroll systems is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and manage confidential information professionally Preferred Skills Knowledge of payroll laws and compliance practices Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar systems Strong organizational and time‑management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment The pay range for the Payroll Clerk is $18-$21/hour based on experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Fuse3 Solutions
