Shop Manager - Diesel

Description Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Shop Manager Amwaste is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Shop Manager to oversee our busy diesel repair shop in Fairburn, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and management, with a proven track record of success in leading a team of mechanics to deliver high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all aspects of the diesel repair shop, including scheduling, staffing, and inventory management Ensure that all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner, meeting or exceeding customer expectations Hire, train, and supervise a team of diesel mechanics, providing guidance and support as needed Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve shop efficiency and productivity Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inventory, and customer interactions Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on repair status and addressing any concerns or questions they may have Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in diesel mechanics preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously Valid driver's license and clean driving record #J-18808-Ljbffr Mattermgt
