Pay Rate: $21.00/hr

Shift: 6:00am to 6:30pm

Description:

PIE Management is seeking a dependable and compassionate Resident Care Aide (CNA) for a contractual opportunity within an MDOC Correctional Facility in Jackson, MI.

This position provides direct care and support services to inmates within correctional medical units and clinics. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, supporting nursing care plans, maintaining records, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for inmates with physical or mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate as part of the treatment team in implementing rehabilitation and care plans
• Monitor inmate safety, whereabouts, and daily activities
• Assist with personal care needs including:
  • Bathing
  • Grooming
  • Dressing
  • Toileting
  • Oral hygiene
• Assist with feeding and monitor food/liquid intake
• Observe and document inmate behavior, physical condition, and responses to treatment
• Support nursing staff with basic care services and delegated tasks
• Assist inmates with mobility, transfers, wheelchairs, and transportation to appointments
• Monitor inmates in seclusion or behavioral observation settings when necessary
• Perform light housekeeping and linen changes
• Assist with recreational and therapeutic activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Attend required training and in-service programs

Requirements

• Active Michigan CNA Certification (Required)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen
• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Reliable, professional, and able to work in a secure correctional environment
