Full Time, Hybrid (1 to 2 days per week in-person in the Washington, D.C. office) Compensation: $70,000–$73,000 As the Education Coordinator at EARTHDAY.ORG, you will play a leading role in expanding access to climate and environmental education worldwide. This pivotal position focuses on establishing and managing strategic partnerships with schools, school districts, and key education stakeholder organizations globally, while driving and contributing to the creation of our educational content. Additionally, you will champion our digital community by leading Earth Day Educators' social media presence. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship-builder with experience in either curriculum design or developing outreach materials, ready to support our development team in scaling global climate and environmental literacy. Responsibilities Lead the identification, outreach, and development of strategic partnerships with schools, educational networks, and global education stakeholder organizations to expand EDO's educational footprint. Lead and contribute to the conceptualization, design, and writing of high-quality climate education materials, including standards-aligned curricula, educational toolkits, and advocacy packets. Act as the lead manager for the Earth Day Educators social media accounts, creating engaging content to interact with, grow, and support our global network of teachers. Collaborate with the development team to support proposal writing, grant applications, and fundraising efforts to secure resources for global education programs. Support the broader education team in developing general materials, reports, and administrative resources to streamline program delivery. Supervise, support, and communicate with interns to guide the production, editing, and quality control of educational resources. Support the education team by attending conferences to drive educator outreach and represent EDO's objectives. Occasional travel is required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, sustainability, environmental science, or a related field. Demonstrated track record of success in partnership development and stakeholder relationship management. Strong working knowledge of environmental and climate issues, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical data into accessible educational concepts. Experience managing professional social media accounts, digital content creation, or community-building platforms. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with global partners and thrive in a hybrid team environment.
