Social Worker - Child Permanence and Family Reunification Salary: £38,220 - £42,839 Grade: JK Contract: Permanent Hours: 37 per week Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire We are looking for Social Workers to join our Care Planning and Support. Job Responsibilities Our team works with children and young people who are cared for by the Local Authority, and collaborates closely with families using an established Practice Model to create plans to achieve the best possible outcomes. The role involves working with children who are in the care of parents or members of their network, foster care or residential care, and those going through care proceedings, covering all aspects of the court process. Social workers will develop local family support materials, chair or support family network meetings, and support young people in developing their pathway plans towards independence. The role is varied, with tasks ranging from facilitating family conversations to engaging in county-wide practice model sessions. Qualifications & Requirements A good understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 and related court processes, or a willingness to learn.
