About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CPI, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: Previous Charge RN and Trauma Level II experience preferred EMR experience required: knowledge of Epic Pass Fail EKG exam required, with 2 attempts allowed Description: This position involves working in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling due to the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as necessary, with a minimum of 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week period. All RNs are required to pass a compliance EKG exam regardless of specialty. Key skills include central line care, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of patients with traumatic injuries. Experience in triage, starting and maintaining IVs, and care of ventilated patients is essential. Candidates must be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and must provide care to patients with a range of diagnoses including stroke and cardiac conditions. Ability to operate various medical equipment and perform necessary emergency procedures is critical. Candidates should be prepared to manage a diverse patient population while demonstrating clinical excellence and professional behavior.
