Marine Welder

Insight Global is looking for a Welder that is proficient in Flux core welding for materials such as, Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel. We are looking for individuals who are wanting to grow their craft and become qualified in additional processes such as MIG, TIG, and Pulse Arc. You will be supporting local shipyards by primarily building ventilation systems that will be delivered to carriers and submarines.

You will need to have experience reading NAVSEA blueprints and working within appropriate tolerances. All of this work will be done in a shop environment where you will be provided a work station to accomplish all of your fabrication work.

Working hours are four 10 hour days starting at 7am for first shift or 4pm for second shift, with the option for occasional OT.

Pay Range: $22-$33 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of fluxcore welding experience
- Familiarity with use of fillet gauges, back gouging, and 100% penetration joints
- Ability to read and interpret NAVSEA drawings
- Familiar with OSHA standards for shipbuilding (i.e OSHA 10 or 30)


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- MIG/TIG/Pulse Arc experience
- Stainless steel / Aluminum experience
