Job Summary:

Provide outpatient physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a community hospital setting. Deliver evidence-based care to improve mobility, function, and quality of life through comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Evaluate patients physical conditions, pain levels, and functional abilities to develop treatment strategies.
  
  
• 
  Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, gait training, and use of adaptive devices.
  
  
• 
  Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately within clinical systems.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on injury prevention, medication, safety, and home exercise programs.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with team members to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  
  
• 
  Maintain proficiency with equipment such as gait belts, prosthetics, traction tables, and cervical collars.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a Maryland or compact state license as a licensed Physical Therapist.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 3 years of outpatient, community hospital, and adult/geriatric patient experience.
  
  
• 
  BLS certification is required; manual therapy experience is mandatory.
  
  
• 
  Prefer familiarity with dry needling, hand therapy, and equipment including crutches, gait belts, and prosthetics.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong documentation skills in electronic health records such as Net Health and PowerChart/Cerner.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
