Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to transform complex data into actionable insights by developing both predictive machine learning models and GenAI-based solutions that support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will take ownership of projects from problem definition through deployment, working autonomously, proactively, and with a solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy predictive machine learning models, including regression, classification, clustering, time series, and forecasting solutions on structured data.
  • Design and deploy GenAI-based solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, prompt engineering, model adaptation, and fine-tuning.
  • Select the most appropriate approach for each business problem, whether predictive ML or GenAI, based on performance, cost, and business value.
  • Evaluate and monitor models in production, including performance, drift, hallucinations, bias, and cost.
  • Explore, clean, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets in collaboration with Data Engineers.
  • Translate business requirements into measurable solutions and present findings through dashboards and effective storytelling.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and recommend new data and AI use cases.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Data Science experience, including both predictive machine learning and GenAI implementations in production environments.
  • Predictive ML: Strong Python skills, solid statistical knowledge, feature engineering, model validation, and experimentation experience.
  • GenAI: Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented architectures, vector databases, GenAI frameworks, and evaluation of generated outputs.
  • Advanced SQL skills, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent), and Git.
  • Fluent English communication skills; French is a plus.

➕ Nice to Have

  • Experience in a scientific domain, preferably pharmaceuticals or cosmetics (e.g., R&D, formulation, ingredients, clinical studies, consumer research, or regulated environments).
  • Experience with fine-tuning, agentic workflows, MLOps, and GenAIOps.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and Spark/Databricks.

Soft Skills

  • Autonomy: Effectively manages priorities and delivers results with minimal supervision.
  • Proactivity: Anticipates needs, takes initiative, and proposes solutions rather than waiting for direction.
  • Communication: Clearly explains complex analytical results and AI limitations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration & Curiosity: Works effectively across cross-functional teams and stays current with rapidly evolving AI technologies.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Focuses on understanding business challenges and driving practical solutions, not just analyzing data.
