PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to bring on an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for a targeted, short-term assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives on detail, enjoys solving complex reconciliation issues, and can make an immediate contribution to a high-priority finance project.

In this role, you'll help clean up and reconcile outstanding customer account balances generated during a recent tariff-related project. Your work will directly support the finance team by clearing open debits and credits, strengthening data integrity, and helping ensure accounts are accurately positioned for project closeout.

What You'll Do

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist , you will:

• Reconcile Customer Accounts: Review customer sub-ledgers and match and clear open debits, credits, unapplied cash, and offset balances.
• Match Transactions: Analyze transaction histories to identify corresponding credit memos and resolve outstanding account activity.
• Protect Data Integrity: Ensure customer account balances accurately reflect outstanding liabilities and are ready for project closeout.
• Investigate Discrepancies: Research ambiguous line items, identify discrepancies, and determine appropriate resolution.
• Collaborate Across Finance: Partner closely with the internal A/R Specialist and Accounting Manager to resolve complex or systematic issues.
• Drive Project Completion: Help the team efficiently close out a targeted reconciliation initiative while allowing core A/R staff to remain focused on their primary responsibilities.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, account reconciliation, or general accounting reconciliation projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly understand transaction histories and identify discrepancies.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience strongly preferred , particularly experience navigating SAP sub-ledgers, F-32 , or S/4HANA A/R clearing transactions .
• Experience with enterprise ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics .
• Previous experience supporting a short-term accounting cleanup, reconciliation, or closeout project.
• Aerospace, manufacturing, or other complex-industry accounting experience is a plus.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This is primarily an office-based accounting role requiring regular computer and communication activities. The position involves:

• Daily use of computers, telephones, copiers, and related office equipment.
• Ability to read computer screens, reports, documents, and other electronic materials.
• Ability to participate in meetings and communicate by phone or teleconference.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Daily walking and standing within office areas.
• Ability to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve items from low shelving.
• Ability to carry and lift documents, electronic equipment, and similar items up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to push and pull small office furniture, equipment, and tools as needed.
• Ability to navigate office areas, including some uneven surfaces.
• Ability to hear safety warnings, alarms, and normal workplace communications.

Pay Details: $28.00 per hour
