Registered Nurse II - Limited Service

The starting pay rate may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Registered Nurses (RN) at the Vermont Veterans' Home (VVH) develop and manage nursing care plans, as well as instruct patients and their families in proper treatment for the highest level of function/quality of life. We provide person-centered care and all residents/families are encouraged to be active participants. We provide clinical oversight along with a wide range of services for long-term and short-stay admissions. We currently have part-time evening positions available. These positions are eligible for benefits. The hours are 2pm to 10:30pm, 24 hours per week, and include working weekends & holidays. Shift differentials, as applicable, will apply to hours worked on evenings and weekends. The Vermont Veterans' Home provides best of class healthcare services to Veterans' their spouses and gold start parents while honoring their choices and respecting their right of self-determination.

This position, Registered Nurse II - Limited Service (Job Requisition #53522), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized through 12/09/2027. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs. Minimum Qualifications: Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license AND two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience. OR Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license AND one (1) year or more of experience as a Registered Nurse I with the State of Vermont.

Special Requirements: Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels and for unannounced regulatory inspections and is considered a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime when required is an essential function of this job class.
