Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Moscow, Idaho. Company & Location Fusion Medical Staffing Facility: Moscow, Idaho Job Details As a member of our team, you will provide comprehensive, evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to help patients develop, recover, and enhance the skills necessary for independent daily living. You’ll work across diverse settings, evaluate patient needs, diagnose functional limitations, and design individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique goals. Required Qualifications Valid Occupational Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy OTR Certification (NBCOT) Occupational Therapy Assistant experience, but new graduates are welcome to apply Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Create personalized therapy plans based on patient assessments, evidence‑based practices, and patient goals Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions and treatments in accordance with the established treatment plan Provide direct, hands‑on therapy using adaptive techniques, modalities, and assistive devices to improve functional abilities in daily living and work‑related tasks Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, techniques, and strategies to enhance independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, holistic care Track patient progress through regular evaluations, modify treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation in the medical record Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in occupational therapy Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to maintain a secure and supportive therapy environment Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home‑based settings Perform additional duties assigned within scope of practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills English language proficiency (reading, writing, and verbal communication) Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills Physical Ability: remain stationary, move around, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal: work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move when assisting with procedures or using equipment Mental: cope with frequent public contact and deadlines under pressure; work independently or with minimal supervision; maintain focus on details Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability offered 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
