Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability and at least 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• Work in a robust Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• Scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week, plus four 12-hour call shifts per 6-week period
• Floating to other like units required as needed

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Current NRP certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required

Additional Information

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Provide age-appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice
• Precept and mentor novice employees as part of contributing to overall department performance
• Participates in hospital-system initiatives and Evidence Based Practice development
• Fosters a care environment that demonstrates compassion and respect for patients, families, and visitors
