responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of major electrical subsystems for next-generation surgical robotic platforms from initial concept through commercialization.
- Design schematics, select components, and conduct layout reviews and board bring-up for rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCBAs using Altium.
- Integrate electrical hardware with embedded software and mechanical components, managing technical trade-offs regarding safety, performance, cost, and reliability.
- Formulate verification and EMC/EMI test strategies, perform hardware debugging, and coordinate testing at external laboratories or testing facilities.
- Support design controls, risk management, design transfer, and Design History File (DHF) documentation per medical device standards (e.g., IEC 60601).
