Job description: Automotive Contracts Clerk Antelope Valley Auto Dealership – Lancaster/Palmdale, CA We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Automotive Contracts Clerk to join our busy dealership business office. Our office supports two automotive dealerships, and we are looking for someone who understands the importance of accuracy, urgency, teamwork, and timely contract processing. Position Responsibilities The Automotive Contracts Clerk will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and posting vehicle sales contracts while ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. Responsibilities include: Review vehicle sales contracts for accuracy and completeness Post new and used vehicle deals into the dealership accounting system Verify all required paperwork and supporting documentation prior to posting Identify missing or incorrect documentation and work with the appropriate department to resolve issues promptly Process and track trade payoffs Handle and monitor customer hold checks as applicable Assist with RDR reporting and manufacturer incentives Ensure deals are processed accurately and in a timely manner Maintain organized deal files and records Review accounting schedules related to assigned responsibilities and follow up on outstanding items Communicate effectively with Finance, Sales, DMV, Accounting, and management Assist with month-end responsibilities and deadlines Provide backup support to other members of the business office when needed Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Previous automotive dealership contracts experience strongly preferred Dealership accounting experience preferred Experience with CDK Drive is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through until they are resolved Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Comfortable working with multiple departments and handling confidential information What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and understands that accurate and timely contract processing is an important part of keeping the dealership's accounting operations running smoothly.
