Position Overview • Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist • Discipline: Allied Health Professional • Start Date: 05/11/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 48 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, days • Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients. Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to the director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedural guidelines. Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuity of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent acute‑care experience. Board certification as a Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) mandate; 2 years of clinical experience required. BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20 pounds normally with occasional lifts up to 50 pounds.
