Supervisory Program Analyst

This Supervisory Program Analyst position is located in Training and Development- Training Systems and Coordination, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs project type assignments. Designs project plan, establishes timelines, determines resource requirements, executes (or oversees execution of) project activities, and evaluates success of accomplishing objectives.
• Provides senior management officials with reports, evaluated information, budget proposals and similar products for effective direction of program operations.
• Researches complex ongoing and projected programmatic activities. Reviews information, reconciles conflicting data, and devises new and modified methods to analyze findings.
• As subject matter expert, participates in discussions, meetings, conferences and conference calls with administrative and technical personnel, other subject matter experts, and other agency officials. Interactions are to educate and advise; share information; investigate facts; present conclusions and recommendations; obtain concurrence on alternate courses of action; and to resolve problems collaboratively.
• Supervises, plans, and/or organizes team efforts to encourage management officials to accept and implement recommendations involving substantial TSA resources (fiscal/facilities/personnel); conducts research and development in new training technologies and leads the implementation of best value technologies and functionalities.
• Coordinates and evaluates subordinates' work to assure balanced workload and timely responses to assigned actions. Gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
• Directs, supervises, and schedules activities for a staff of professionals; plans reviews, controls resources; and approving all work assignments and resulting work products.
• Takes disciplinary action when necessary. Interviews and selects applicants for vacancies. Establishes performance standards, evaluates performance, recommends training and development, and recognizes high quality performance. Schedules and approves leave.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
