Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for a hospital laboratory in Southfield, Michigan. The position operates on a rotating night shift schedule and involves performing routine and complex laboratory testing procedures, managing instrumentation, and ensuring quality control in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established quality standards
Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures following departmental protocols
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care delivery

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
One or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
One or more years of Blood Bank experience (preferred)
