Software Engineer – Full StackInvestments (Front Office) Technology10+ years Location: Philadelphia, PA 11 Months ContractRole Description / Responsibilities:Creating optimal data pipelines using Apache Airflow DAGs, Docker, AWS, Python or SnowflakeAssembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirementsDesigning modern, interactive, user-friendly web apps (UI) using React, Material UI, and similar frameworksDesigning and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processesBuilding required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologiesBuilding analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisitionWorking with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issuesSkills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required:Minimum of 10+ years' experienceExtensive hands-on experience in designing and delivering full stack technology solutions to solve business problems preferably within Asset Management or financial servicesDemonstrated ability to propose and implement solutions across full stack applications and data pipelines running in the cloud (preferably AWS).Ability to communicate complex technical challenges and their solutions clearly to peers and junior engineers to align on solutions and mentor others in the team.Experience with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, DevOps practices, and containerization technologies.You will be considered a top candidate if you have familiarity with our tech stack (React, Python, AWS, Lambda, Redshift, S3), our platforms (Aladdin, Bloomberg, FactSet) or our business domain (research, portfolio construction, trading and execution, performance attribution across equities, fixed income and derivatives)Technical skills required or strongly preferred include:AWS – SNS, SQS, EC2, LambdaDatabases – Redshift or SnowflakePython (Object-Oriented) & SQLContainers (Kubernetes or Docker)CI/CD tools, e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab or BambooRESTful APIsApache Airflow OrchestrationAsset Management / Financial domain experienceWeb UI skills - Python, DJANGO, XML, CSS, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, ReactJS and jQueryExperience with or interest in using AI enabled development (Copilot, Claude or others).
