About the Position

Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Alaska

Schedule: Operating room coverage including on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays

Highlights:

• Diverse surgical case mix including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic surgery, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN procedures
• Elective and emergency case experience in a regional healthcare setting
• After-hours call services to support around-the-clock operating room needs
• Minimum 5-week lead time required for credentialing and background processing
• Travelers are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation
• Alaska RN license must be active and unrestricted at time of submission

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN, Associate Degree, or Diploma)
• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital or rural operating room settings strongly preferred
• Fingerprinting required upon acceptance; must be completed and submitted within 2-3 days to maintain start date
