Educator

Overview Position: Part-time Educator Time Frame: Immediate and ongoing Hours: Up to 20 hours per week (including some afternoons and weekends) Rate: $22 per hour Responsibilities Teach culinary, food system, and farm-based classes for elementary through high school students, adapting lessons to meet age and experience levels. Prepare materials, support program setup, and assist with clean-up. Facilitate hands-on cooking, gardening, and farm-based activities. Collaborate with staff to plan, evaluate, and refine programs in alignment with Yellow Farmhouse’s educational mission. Required Qualifications Experience teaching children and/or adults. Passion for fostering meaningful connections to cooking and agriculture. Interest in food systems, agriculture, and culinary education. Creativity and flexibility in designing hands-on, experiential learning activities. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of food systems, ecology, soil health, and food justice. Culinary training or self-taught culinary skills. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in education, environmental studies, food studies, or related fields.
