Job TitleGeneral Responsibilities:Responsible for the comprehensive financial management of grants, including budgeting, reporting, and analysisProtect the privacy of the agency and hold in confidence all information about customersEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies, while also contributing to the overall financial health of the organizationManage the financial aspects of grants, ensuring accuracy and complianceCollaborate with administrative and program staff to develop grant budgets and monitor their activity in the accounting softwareAudit grant accounting data and correct errorsEnsure compliance with applicable laws, statutes, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Review and submit timely financial reports to government agencies and other funding sourcesMonitor grant contractor and sub-recipient agreements, ensuring adherence to financial policies and sound business practicesReview Financial Policies Procedures at least annually or as needed for proposed updatesAssist with updating other financial policies and proceduresGather and prepare information for the annual Single Audit and other required financial audits and monitoringContribute to annual budgeting and forecasting financial projectionsSupervise preparation of journal entries and month-end closing processGather and prepare information for the annual financial auditMaintain positive relationships with internal and external customersManage the performance of the Budget Coordinator and Accounting SpecialistFacilitate comprehensive orientation and ongoing training within the Finance DepartmentComplete other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assignedEducation and Experience Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with an accounting concentrationMinimum of three years of experience in accounting and business administrationAdditional Requirements:Work is performed in an office cubicle environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipmentMust be able to move short distances, exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Must have proficient computer and technical skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the InternetMust have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, provide proof of insurance, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record review annually.Must successfully pass a background check, including criminal history and Central Registry clearance, at the time of hire and when requested at any time during employment.Must comply with the Agency's smoke-free and drug-free policies.
