Kitchen Manager OpportunityHeadquartered in Palm Desert, CA, Daily Grill Concepts is a national restaurant company with 5 restaurants in two states. The Company boasts 2 different, yet complimentary brands, spanning the spectrum from Casual Daily Grill to the hip and trendy Public School Gastro Pub.We have a great opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Manager!The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily kitchen operations, while adhering to company standards, developing, and training staffs over all stations in kitchen and meeting food costs budget and timelines. The Kitchen manager will work with management in purchasing, inventory management and staffing issues. This person provides leadership and direction to all HOH culinary managers including team members. This person ensures that all recipes, preparations, and presentations meet company specifications and quality in a safe, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities include preparing a schedule for hourly team members, ordering product, maintaining and ensuring proper food execution and minimal waste. Upholding safety and sanitation and recipe preparednessComplete knowledge of all stations in kitchen, and recipes, portions, and presentation of entreesEffectively communicates and manage all kitchen personnel to ensure efficient operations and adherence to company policies and proceduresResponsible for achieving budgets within the kitchen (food efficiencies, inventory, labor cost and direct kitchen expensesControl and implementation of new recipes and seasonal rolloutsAbility to work under pressure in a high-energy and demanding environmentEnsure proper staffing levels by assisting in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.Recommend and initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies. Alert management of potentially serious issues.Ensure that all kitchen equipment, including but not limited to sinks, stoves, grills, hoods, coolers, freezers, etc., are in proper operational condition and are cleaned on a regular basis.Ensure that all kitchen areas and related storerooms are cleaned, mopped, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume and in accordance with sanitation and health department requirements.
