Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K12 students in Quitman, Texas. The SLP will evaluate and treat communication disorders, collaborate with educators and families, and help students develop the communication skills needed to participate successfully in school.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations using assessments, observations, interviews, and record reviews.

• Identify student needs related to articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.

• Develop individualized goals and provide evidence-based speech-language therapy aligned with students individualized education programs (IEPs).

• Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings, presenting evaluation findings and contributing to eligibility and service decisions.

• Track student progress and adjust interventions based on data and individual needs.

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to support communication skills across school settings.

• Assess and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs, as appropriate.

• Maintain accurate evaluation reports, service records, progress reports, and other required documentation.

• Complete evaluations and documentation within required timelines.

• Provide culturally and linguistically responsive services that reflect students backgrounds and communication needs.

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree in speech-language pathology or communication sciences and disorders.

• Current Texas speech-language pathology license.

• Knowledge of school-based assessment, intervention, and special education processes.

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to serve students with a range of communication needs across K12 settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).

• Experience providing speech-language services in a school setting.

• Familiarity with Texas ARD procedures and IEP development.

• Experience supporting students who use AAC.

• Bilingual skills.
